Following our work with The Weeknd on the Super Bowl LV Pepsi Halftime Show, TAIT were back in action on the artist’s After Hours Til Dawn Tour. The show demanded a stage that matched the artist's dystopian vision. Working with visionary designer Es Devlin, we brought the breathtaking design to life, tackling intricate scenic elements, automation, and a massive, multi-stage setup to support the show's ambitious narrative.

We collaborated closely with Devlin's team to realize the tour's post-apocalyptic cityscape for the 2022 North America leg, including 17 custom-built scenic buildings – several with built-in performer lifts and platforms – all designed for rapid assembly and touring. Our work included creating three expansive Mag Deck stages and two runways lined with LEDs. The 2023 Europe and South America leg added new details including a chrome refinish and a custom skyline backdrop spanning the length of the mainstage.

Automation was a pivotal show element, and our TAIT Navigator Automation Platform was integral to the control of multiple show elements. We provided the catenary line system and a specially designed cart to inflate a 30-foot-diameter moon for the entire show, adding a surreal dimension to the performance. For the tour's second leg, we automated a giant chrome robot designed by legendary Japanese illustrator Hajime Sorayana. Meticulous engineering and intricate scenic artistry were critical to realizing this unique tour.

The Weeknd's 64-date After Hours Til Dawn Tour is a testament to the power of live experiences to transport audiences. Our work has helped to elevate the artist's creative vision, blending technology and scenic artistry to create an unforgettable show that will live long in the memory.
