TAIT provided a mix of bespoke and rental elements for Elton John’s The Million Dollar Piano tour, including flying scenery, LED-integrated scenic sculptures and video panel-clad band risers.
The two tracking band risers created were clad with video fascias and each included an ‘umbilical cable’ to discreetly house the audio cabling. The sculptures included integrated RGB LED and practical lighting. Each could pivot up and down stage as well as fly upstage for storage. Aptly doubling as houses for the subwoofers, 3m tall dogs were carved from foam and scenically painted with a metallic gold finish.
Two scenically painted scroll structures were created from hard-coated foam and perforated aluminium mesh.
