Lady Gaga

Born this Way Ball

Having worked on Lady Gaga’s Monster Ball tour (2009-2011), we knew that her Born This Way Ball tour would also demand bespoke stage technology as imaginative and vivacious as the star’s personality. Demonstrating our continued focus on creativity, craftsmanship and quality, we created the largest touring scenic structure to date: three dimensions, five stories and unparalleled ease of assembly.

Weighing around 30 tons, this enchanting castle was efficiently assembled in under six hours. The castle structure itself is a custom assembly of columns, beams and nodes requiring few tools for installation. Combining expertise from the film and theatre industry, we developed scenically-painted, plywood-backed foam to form the exterior of the castle. Strengthened and protected with hard coating, the panels aligned and connected meticulously for guaranteed dimensional stability.
