TAIT Stage Technologies was awarded the contract for a power flying system at the Y Ffwrnes project by ACT Consultants Services in 2011. The venue, which opened in the spring of 2013, “is a new creative and cultural centre for the performing arts, media & community events” in the Welsh town of Llanelli. The flexible auditorium can accommodate 500 people in various seating configurations and so far Y Ffwrnes (“The Furnace”) has played host to performances, film screenings, live gigs and more.
The TAIT Stage Technologies power flying system, consisting of BigTow winches, Nomad, Solo, and PC Wing control desks, plus a Preset Station demonstrates how regional venues can take full advantage of the benefits of automation, at an affordable price.

• 3 x BigTow 2-390 winches to carry three large acoustic reflectors
• 1 x Nomad control desk
• 1 x Solo handheld controller
