75 The UAE’s National Media Council asked us for help to create an engaging platform to tell the story of the UAE for the Dubai World Expo 2020. Using a custom-built lift, we raised the audience from basement level to the top of the UAE pavilion during the show – a distance of 6.5m. With a target of four million visitors over six months, the automation had to deliver faultless reliability, and a dash of ingenuity was needed to accommodate the pearlshaped design of the auditorium.
