While the original production design was too complex to travel from city to city 10 years ago, the now-modernized musical was updated so that the production can tour across Australia. To do so, TAIT provided a portable overhead frame stocked with 12 BT2-200 winches which move lighting ladders and masking into various scenes. Additionally, TAIT installed 9 motors into a portable stage floors to automate scenic elements such as the rotating bed in Billy’s house. All TAIT equipment was controlled by 4 of AU:tour 6 with Acrobat G6 control desk and over 1.5T of cable.
