Kelly Clarkson is back on tour and in (or shall we say “on”, yes, we’re being cheeky) her element, a TAIT stage for the Meaning of Life Tour.
To capture the design concept of her tour, TAIT manufactured a staging package that included a 60 ft. by 40 ft. main stage equipped with a center stage zip lift and the runway leading to a VIP bar stage. Clarkson’s VIP bar stage doubles as a performance space for she, her performers and guests to dance and celebrate, while also being a bar and lounge area for her VIP’s. The VIP bar surrounds Clarkson’s b-stage and has a florescent lit-up acrylic surface and custom-built bar stools.
Every night of her tour, Clarkson goes live on Facebook for her newest webseries, Minute and a Glass of Wine, in an effort to share her concert with fans. During her livestream, Clarkson brings a guest onstage, via TAIT’s prop lift, to highlight a number of every day heroes and share random acts of kindness with the world.
To film Clarkson’s webisodes, TAIT Navigator cued two T-winches (installed in the overhead rigging) to fly a Nav Cam over the VIP bar stage. Additionally, TAIT Navigator cues a second camera, provided by Vision Visual Inc., to track the length of the runway.
