The 14th season finale of NBC’s The Voice featured Florence + the Machine who debuted the first single, Hunger, from their new album, High as Hope. The riveting performance showcased Florence Welch’s emotionally charged and powerful lyrics as she sang and danced around the demure, yet whimsical set, built by TAIT.
To transform The Voice’s stage for Florence + The Machine’s performance, TAIT supplied three 32 ft. long trusses fastened with a total of 18 TAIT Nano Winches.
The Nano Winches were preprogrammed to fly 12 pieces of fabric soft goods via TAIT Navigator, the leader in entertainment automation, making the set appear as numerous moving sails reminiscent of an old pirate ship free at sea.
TAIT Nano Winches are lightweight, single-point winches featuring a conductive ribbon that transmits power ‘down the line’ to a connected fixture creating dramatic, kinetic effects as most recently seen at CES 2018’s Keynote Presentation, Justin Timberlake’s MOTW Tour, or London’s 59 Productions Shadow Factory.
