Glide scenery or performers silently, smoothly, and safely, giving you greater creative freedom and flexibility for your show.
TAIT mobilators provide a way of moving scenery on stage, following any shape of path (including non-linear motion and rotation).
The TAIT automated stage wagon expands the creative options for designers, by enabling accurate, intricate motion with flexible payload options, across a range of stage environments, including operation in fog or dynamic lighting. Our latest stage wagons deploy an optimized feature-set including onboard power, a secure and robust wireless communication system, a sophisticated positioning system and the power train that provides motive force.
The methods for accurate position determination for moving wagons that TAIT has chosen uniquely make use of multiple techniques simultaneously, with an ingenious algorithm to combine measurement methods, such that position is verified and any instantaneous discrepancy between different sensing methods can be overcome in order to determine an accurate position with sufficient certainty for safety. This innovative approach is an example of TAIT’s unique engineering approach to scenic motion technology.

Our mobilator systems are powered by the TAIT Navigator Automation Platform. By having all automated elements within a scene tracked within a single 3D environment - including both those moved by mobilators and those flown from linesets, or those combined with moving sections of stage on elevators, revolves or lifts – all of their current and intended motion can be coordinated to prevent collisions, and to enable faster, closer, better coordinated and thereby more dramatic motion that contributes to the wow-factor of a scene from the audience’s perspective.
Designers and show programmers can quickly test motion ideas “on the fly” within automatic safety bounds: TAIT Navigator’s distributed architecture and real-time rules-based operation enables coordinated control and collision avoidance for all moving elements in a show, venue or themed environment. The TAIT mobilators therefore provides an holistic solution to scenic and performer motion even when using multiple machines, including autonomous stage wagons alongside flown and substage systems.
