When hip-hop icon Drake heard about an avant-garde wonderland that had been locked away in storage for 35 years, he knew it had to be revived. The vintage amusement park, known as Luna Luna: Forgotten Fantasy, featured hand-crafted attractions designed by legendary artists, including David Hockney, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Keith Haring. The task was set to unearth this fantastical fair and welcome art enthusiasts from around the world for a multi-sensory experience.

Originally the brainchild of André Heller, an Austrian artist, the Luna Luna theme park debuted inHamburg, Germany, in 1987. We played a pivotal role in reviving the art amusement park, from exploring the ambitious ideas surrounding a traveling theme park to assessing new attractions that would draw in crowds.
To facilitate site planning, 3D scans of the historic works were produced. Master
planning gave way to production management and recruiting staff needed to ensure
that this 60,000 sq ft forgotten fantasyland could take flight. The doors opened on something truly sensational: a whimsical fairground and exhibition showcasing a myriad of renowned artists’ amusements within a cavernous hanger. Visitors can step back in time, circumnavigating vintage treasures as roving performers amplify the carnival atmosphere.
TAIT Navigator, our proprietary show control platform, is providing Luna Luna with a single operational hub, ensuring quality production for each part of the experience.
Luna Luna: Forgotten Fantasy has been a staggering success, capturing headlines and mesmerizing art lovers. The experience proved so popular that its Los Angeles run was extended – with a worldwide tour to follow.
