Roger Waters set an ambitious vision for his 43-date This Is Not A Drill Tour, including complex automation, a multi-level stage, giant video walls, and multiple lifts. Having previously collaborated with Waters, TAIT was a natural choice to bring his latest vision to life. We took the show’s epic vision and crafted a spectacular show that delivered Waters' powerful message to a global audience.

Three huge, automated video walls formed a visual centerpiece designed for a 360-degree viewing experience. Each demanded pinpoint precision and synchronized movement, guided by our TAIT Navigator Automation Platform throughout the tour. Each hoist featured a single chain shared by two upgraded motors, ensuring operational continuity even if one motor failed. Navigator monitored the hoists' positions and provided continuous feedback on their health.
Navigator was also responsible for control of the large-format lifts positioned around the imposing multi-level stage. Eight ‘crossed hammer’ Kabuki drops positioned around the auditorium added a further visual dimension to this lavish show.
The show was an intoxicating blend of music, visuals, and thought-provoking social commentary. This Is Not A Drill Tour left a lasting impression on audiences worldwide for its music, message, and for its sheer theater. It sold over half a million tickets in North America alone, and April 2023’s Prague show was filmed and broadcast live in more than 1500 cinemas across 50 countries.
