We created a multi-sensory extravaganza that blends reality with enhanced vignettes and made nature the canvas for this immersive wonderland, all within the campus of the Fernbank Museum of Natural History. Working with strategic consulting studio Habo, we ran market research and built a business model for Wildwoods: AGLOW to ensure the experience would be financially viable.
Confident in our approach, we began the process of creating the interactive trail.
Partnering with Fernbank’s science team, we were able to ensure that every image, color, and sound was a natural extension of the Fernbank Forest, ensuring that this limited-run nighttime trail experience complemented its natural surroundings. Using trees, roots, and other natural elements as the canvas, we brought the Fernbank Wildwoods: AGLOW experience to life with lights and projections - creating a unique experience with original compositions. Following the enchanted path, guests can watch as roots magically spread into towering trees, witness oversized seeds explode with interactive light, observe nocturnal animals, and interact with larger-than-life glowing and singing mushrooms.

Inspired by the native flora and fauna that thrive in the ten acres of woodlands, Wildwoods: AGLOW’s captivating illumination, immersive projections, interactive scenography, and original musical composition absorb guests in a natural nighttime dreamworld of biodiversity. The trail opened in 2022 and will run during winter months until 2026.
